Mont Ebal - Nablus (West - Bank)

This mount is 940 meters high, it faces Mount Gerizim, offering a passage down in the valley.
This is the place the Roman emperor Vespasian chose to establish the city of Flavia Neapolis in 72 AD over an older Samaritan village called Mabartha ("the passage").
Nablus has been ruled by many empires over the course of its almost 2,000 year long history.
