Tell Balata archeological site - Nablus (West Bank)

It contains the remains of the ancient city of Shechem which dates back to the second millennium BC. Excavation work has been done during the early and middle 20th century. New excavation has been made in 2011. Then the site has been open to the public and a visitor center has been built.
