(EN) The establishment of the National Hospital in Nablus dates back to 1888 during the era of the Ottoman Empire in an area overlooking the northern mountain over the Old City. The hospital initially operated with 60 beds, then gradually expanded its services and facilities to meet the growing health care needs of the population. Over the years, additions have been made to accommodate more patients and include different medical departments such as emergency, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, cardiology, and neurology. By 1948, the hospital had expanded to approximately 144 beds. Despite its growth, the hospital's architecture still reflects its Ottoman heritage, with distinctive features such as arches and the Ottoman seal over its main entrance. This historic trip embodies the community’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services in Nablus over the decades.

(FR) La création de l'hôpital national de Naplouse remonte à 1888, à l'époque de l'Empire ottoman, dans un quartier surplombant la montagne nord de la vieille ville. L'hôpital a d'abord fonctionné avec 60 lits, puis a progressivement étendu ses services et ses installations pour répondre aux besoins croissants de la population en matière de soins de santé. Au fil des ans, des ajouts ont été effectués pour accueillir davantage de patients et inclure différents services médicaux tels que les urgences, la chirurgie, l'obstétrique et la gynécologie, la pédiatrie, l'orthopédie, la cardiologie et la neurologie. En 1948, l'hôpital comptait environ 144 lits. Malgré sa croissance, l'architecture de l'hôpital reflète toujours son héritage ottoman, avec des éléments distinctifs tels que des arches et le sceau ottoman au-dessus de l'entrée principale. Le médecin Kuridi, qui a dirigé l'hôpital pendant 17 ans avant de mourir, est commémoré par sa tombe dans l'enceinte de l'hôpital.
