Remarquable pour son port spectaculaire et la forme de son tronc vrillé et courbé vers le sol ainsi que son houppier qui s'étend loin sur la pelouse.

Le tronc de ce Catalpa est très grandement fissuré à cause de sa vrille. Il y eu de nombreuses tailles de branches qui ont été effectuées pour des mises en sécurité, notamment pour le bois mort.

Cependant on retrouve une grande quantité de dendromicrohabitats sur son tronc.
