Monsieur Perrocheau étant né en 1849, on peut penser que le Séquoia fut planté aux alentours de 1880. Il aurait probablement 150 ans.

Il est à l'origine des plantation du Séquoia ainsi que d'autres essences, notamment un magnifique Cyprès chauve.

Il y a d'autres arbres patrimoniaux au sein du parc, notamment le Cyprès chauve.

Le séquoia se situe dans le parc "Philippe PERROCHEAU", Monsieur Perrocheau l'ancien maire de la commune, à son décès a légué le parc de 5 hectares ainsi qu'une propriété bâti qui en deviendra la mairie.
