Arbre situé sur un espace fréquenté par le public (table de pique-nique, aire de jeux, entrée du Parcabout), au niveau d'un promontoire offrant une belle vue sur la vieille ville de Fontenay.

Le tulipier est entourés de beaux arbres: Cèdre, Noyer noir, If, Erable de Montpellier.
