Claire Fort presented the Lille approach to use the knowledge of heritage in the urban projects. Olah Khayat explained the challenges in the program of the future Eastern Park around the Governorate and Tal Balata.

Naseer Arafat then showed the manufacturing of the historic city: a subtle progression of public space to privacy. Pathways organize meeting spaces, sneaking around back doors and play the natural relief. Rania Taha has compiled the inventory of census tools and actions to the knowledge and preservation of the built heritage in the Old City.

La première journée du Workshop s'est achevée par une table ronde à propos de la fabrication de la ville avec son patrimoine, au CAUE du Nord.

Deux temps d'échanges importants autour de la méthode et des outils pour bien prendre en compte le patrimoine dans le projet urbain : l'élaboration du programme et les éléments de connaissance.

Claire Fort a présenté l'approche lilloise de prise en compte de la connaissance du patrimoine dans l'ensemble des projets urbains. Olah Khayat a expliqué les enjeux du programme du futur Parc Est autour du Gouvernorat et de Tal Balata.

Naseer Arafat a ensuite montré la fabrication de la ville historique : une progression subtile de l'espace public vers l'intimité. Les cheminements organisent des espaces de rencontre, se faufilent vers des portes dérobées et se jouent avec le relief naturel. Rania Taha a dressé l'état des lieux des outils de recensement et des actions menées pour la connaissance et la préservation du patrimoine bâti, dans la vieille ville.
